About Claddagh Pipe Band

      Founded in 2010, Claddagh Pipe Band is a Grade IV competition band and an active affiliate of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association. The mission of the band is to promote appreciation for Irish Highland Bagpiping as well as represent the greater North Jersey area in the competitive piping community. Claddagh Pipe Band was founded on the ideals of comradeship and a passion for good music.

      The band is currently under the direction of Pipe Major Joe Smolinski and Drum Sergeant Sam Lauritano. Over the next several seasons we hope to grow in numbers and expand our musical ability, while enjoying every step of the way. Claddagh is open to members and students of all ages.       Our motto "EX ARCA" or "Out of the Box" was inspired by our drive to always be ready to perform. If the performance situation calls for it we will be prepared to have a respectable sound right out of the box with minimal warm-up.
